Welcome to the website of Fiona Wallis, a Classical  acupuncturist, BAcC registered,  working in Caterham, Surrey.

Traditional or Classical acupuncture is an holistic healthcare system based on the belief that regards pain and illness, whether physical or emotional, is a sign that the body is out of balance. Because traditional acupuncture considers every bodily function to be connected and interdependent, it recognises the role emotions play in illness and dis-ease. The overall aim of the treatment is to restore the body’s equilibrium.

Many people come to acupuncture to find relief from a range of complaints or conditions, others become aware of more subtle changes in their daily life. What is also clear, however, is that you do not have to be ill in the traditional sense to experience the benefits from acupuncture.

A Classical Acupuncturist’s main focus is on correcting the underlying cause of illness which will be different for every individual. Consequently there are no "off-the-peg" treatments or points prescriptions. With it's holistic approach to the Mind, Body and Spirit diagnosed through an imbalance of Qi, Yin and Yang and the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water) it may focus on and help relieve symptoms.

Please browse around the site to find out more about acupuncture, and how it may help you or go to The British Acupuncture Council for more information. I can also answer any questions or concerns you may have, so feel free to contact me.
